By accessing or using Riftr ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Riftr is a temporary file-sharing service. Files are uploaded into "rooms" identified by a secure share link and are automatically and permanently deleted after a user-selected expiry period. No account is required for basic usage; creating an account unlocks higher limits.

The Service does not support the following actions, and you should not rely on them being available:
A share link grants access to all files in that room to anyone who possesses it. Riftr has no way to restrict access to a room once the link has been shared. If you choose to password-protect a room, recipients need both the full link and the password. You are solely responsible for sharing links securely and only with intended recipients.
All files are automatically and permanently deleted after the expiry period you select at room creation. Expiry periods range from 30 minutes to 7 days depending on your account tier. Once deleted, files cannot be recovered under any circumstances. Riftr does not maintain backups of user-uploaded content.
You are solely responsible for all content you upload. You agree not to upload, store, or share any content that:
Riftr does not actively monitor user-uploaded content. You are solely responsible for what you upload and share. Riftr reserves the right to:
The Service is provided "as-is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Riftr does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from data loss. You use the Service at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Riftr shall not be liable for:
You retain ownership of all content you upload. By uploading content, you grant Riftr a limited, non-exclusive license to store and transmit that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This license expires when the content is deleted. All Riftr trademarks, logos, and software remain the property of Riftr.
Riftr reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
